Introduction
At BDSwiss, a global Forex and CFD broker, I was responsible for major marketing and branding work: event management, social media growth, content development and customer retention. The work generated significant sales, grew the brand's online presence and built trust through personal branding.
Challenges
A crowded market: Forex and CFD is highly competitive, and standing out takes strong branding and targeted campaigns.
Social trust: customers are sceptical of financial institutions, so credibility on platforms like TikTok was critical.
New sales leads: needed to reach new customers through events, educational content and personal branding for Business Development staff.
Solution
1. Major event at W Hotel, Kuala Lumpur
A high-profile event with seminars and product presentations that drew a full house
Approximately RM330,000 in sales from the one event
2. Social media growth & content
Led the TikTok presence, growing followers to several thousand in 2–3 months with daily educational and product content
Prepared content for two Business Development staff to build their personal brands and client trust
Detailed content schedules and daily videos that built engagement and community
3. Roadshows & education seminars
Monthly roadshows travelling with the team to states across Malaysia
Face-to-face seminars to build relationships and educate potential clients
4. Design & branding
All design materials for BDSwiss, keeping a cohesive and professional brand across platforms and events
5. TikTok podcast & retention
A bi-weekly TikTok podcast on financial education and BDSwiss products
Branded merchandise for clients who made deposits, and contests for traders to keep them engaged
