Introduction
Poliklinik Nur Fatimah, a general practitioner clinic, was opening a new branch in Kota Tinggi, Johor. In a rural area the challenge was to build visibility and attract patients. My role was to design and run a marketing strategy that reached the local community and grew the clinic steadily.
Challenges
Unlike urban areas, the Kota Tinggi community relies on Facebook for news and information, so a Google-heavy approach (Google Ads, SEO) would not work alone.
The clinic was new to the area, so trust-building was a major hurdle.
Solution
1. A hybrid strategy
Facebook Ads first: about RM1,000 a month aimed at families, working adults and the elderly
Google Ads for ranking: long-term visibility when people search for clinics nearby
Localised messaging: accessibility, family health and trust, which resonated with the rural community
Results
Month 1: RM15,000 revenue
Month 2: RM20,000 revenue
Month 3: RM40,000 revenue
Month 4: RM50,000+ revenue
With just RM1,000 a month in ad spend, the clinic scaled significantly. Focusing on the right channel for the right audience drives sustainable growth.
