Introduction

VTR Fintech, the company behind the Vestrado trading platform, launched the In-House Talent Project to groom promising traders into full Introducing Brokers (IBs). As marketing lead I built and ran the whole digital strategy: campaign structure, content, ad optimisation, landing-page tracking and post-conversion retention through Telegram communities, all within three months per talent.

Challenges

Limited timeframe: each talent had only three months before being evaluated for scale-up.

Varying audience behaviour: global and Malaysian markets responded differently to creative and channels.

Budget optimisation: high ad budgets were needed up front to compress the testing and scaling cycle.

Retention: converting deposits was only part of the funnel, and traders needed community nurturing to stay active.

Attribution accuracy: each talent needed a unique funnel and landing page to measure traffic and conversion sources.

Solution

1. Dedicated funnels per talent

Unique landing pages with separate tracking pixels and Google Analytics dashboards

CRM tagging for clear attribution of leads and deposits

2. Performance campaigns

Global: USD 10,000 combined ad spend for two talents targeting international audiences

Malaysia: TikTok and Facebook for high-intent local traders

3. Rapid-cycle optimisation

Weekly creative refresh and audience retargeting

Scaled on cost-per-deposit and ROAS

Deliberately heavy spend in early months to shorten the learning curve

4. Community retention via Telegram

A dedicated Telegram group per talent for daily updates, tips, promotions and contests

The channels became key retention hubs, driving repeat engagement and referrals

Conclusion

The project changed how VTR Fintech approaches IB recruitment and training. By blending creative storytelling with precise analytics it identified the top-performing talents, built repeatable acquisition funnels and generated over USD 315,000 in revenue in three months, from about USD 12,000 of ad spend (26.5× average ROAS).
